My surface pro 1 display broke on the corner. Couple of weeks ago i was in the msft store and asked about warranty coverage to see if they replace 1 with 2 and the rep checked with mgr and came back saying yes. The next day i brought my surface 1 and another rep said NO warranty only covers like for like replacement. however when i insisted about my conversation the day before, the rep got an exception after speaking with mgr. i was so happy, although i had to pay the price difference of 200 for the current price difference for 128gb surface pro 2.
