Laptop or tablet?

Just curious. Are most SP3 owners using it as a tablet or a laptop? I've bought the SP3 to see if it replaces my MacBook Pro and iPad Air but so far it doesn't look like a good replacement for either. Will continue using it for another ten days and see if I can make the switch.

Sounds like an excellent plan. Do some research, try them for yourselves, and make an informed decision. Be sure to let us know what/why you decide.

Honestly, i'm having a hard time deciding. When i'm at work/coffee shop/library studying it's definitely a laptop, using keyboard and a mouse. But at home i'm using it mostly as a tablet on my couch... or frankly using it in Desktop mode but holding it like a tablet, you'd be surprised how not-frustrating navigating 8.1 Desktop is with touch.

I've heard the term "tabtop" used for this device... sounds kinda lame. How about "laplet"?, nah, that's lame too. Ultratablettop? Or maybe the "surface" name will become one of those pronouns to describe them all. /shrug

I just call mine Ally.
