    This is unreal.

I've had the SP3 for 3 weeks now. Up until 2 days ago really no major issues. Figured my battery drain was caused by Chrome being open and learned today from Verge and BGR that it actually true.

When I close the keyboard cover to shut the SP3 down, the last few times, it will not respond and wake up AT ALL!

I thought the battery drained all the way down for some reason but that's not the case. 35% left when it finally came back on. I had to push the power button multiple times to get it to turn on. Just now, it did. But it was not from a wake state but restart.

What in the hell is going on? Anyone else experience this?

This is not good. It took over 5 minutes to get it to come back on. Thought there was something seriously wrong and now I'm thinking there is. Considering returning it at this point. With the work I do, I don't want to feel like I need to carry a backup laptop "in case" the SP3 malfunctions.

On other thing. When I pulled it from my bag, the back was VERY hot. Not sure why that is either.

That's been a common problem with every Surface device (Pro and non-Pro) of every generation.

Here are some threads from this forum that discuss the issue (or related issues):
    Guytronic and xandros9 like this.

Did you run powercfg / sleepstudy to see if anything is preventing it from going into connected standby? Give it a try. did you install any software in the last few days?
