SP3 and the Power Cover

I have a power cover I used to use on my SP1. I would like to use it when I need to on my SP3.

But there is no option of a second battery when I plug it in. I am actually typing on my power cover but it only acts as a keyboard.

Any help would be much appreciated.

The power cover battery is not compatible to the Surface 3!

I would love to see this as well, and with the new touch pad.

FYI: my Power Cover is now showing is charging. I find the SP3 takes a long time to charge

I could charge both my SP1 and the power cover in 3 hours. My SP3 charged up in 4 hours. Completely dead when I bought it.

Probably not. The battery life of the SP3 is considerably more than the SP1. Also, the weight would be prohibitive I think. Especially, when you think what the SP3 was targeted towards. The MacBook Air. I haven't had any issues with battery life when I'm away from my charger at home.
