My Sp3 out of the box seemed like it had some paint pealing/scuffing. I didn't think to much of it until I turned it over yesterday and noticed it was a lot worse. I called Microsoft Support and they said it would be covered since it started out of the box. Plus I only had the Sp3 for 24 days. They wanted to setup an exchange but I couldn't be without my Sp3. They then setup for me to go to the local store for replacement.
The store here is just a kiosk for now and the manager wasn't too happy because he said MS Support is doing this quite often and they aren't a full on store yet. I had a case number so he still took care of me. I was in/out in 45mins with a brand new SP3. I'm really loving the support for the Surface products. I plan to keep purchasing them from here on out.
