I am using a HooToo HT-UE01 3-port USB hub with Gigabit ethernet port. I also have their USB docking station for dual monitors, etc.

I bought a J5Create USB 3 gigabit ethernet adapter from Best Buy.

Seems to have good build quality (case is part aluminum), has indicator lights integrated on the RJ45 port and seems plenty fast.

I dont have an sp3 yet, but in anticipation, I did some research into this and came to the conclusion that if I'm going to get an ethernet adapter, why not get a portable router instead.
So I bought this Netgear Trek Universal N300 Wi-Fi Range Extender and Travel Router: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories which is a very small and neat unit, creating its own secure hotspot.
