Hello
I got a quick question
I have surface pro 2 now with Windows 10 pro. did a clean install. My free disk space around 95gb out 118gb available.
what happend to My 23gb? I might be abel to remove 3_6gb by deleting the recovery partition.
Thanks for your experiences and input:)

If you first did a Windows 10 upgrade and then did a clean install after that, some extra partitions will have been generated if you didn't wipe out all the partitions. If you use a third-party partition utility or use Windows's disk management, you will see them. Because the Windows 10 installation doesn't wipe out the Windows 8.1 partitions and even adds Windows 10 partitions.

Most people's idea of a "clean installation" is choosing the largest partition and then formatting it and then installing to that partition. But a true clean partition is wiping out all the partitions and letting the Windows 10 installation rebuild all the partitions. But if you do that, you basically wipe out the ability to go back to 8.1 if you want to.
