Hey guys, I have a question about the Surface processors...
I find it very hard to find some benchmarks for the processors used in SP3 and 4. I am planning to buy one of them in the next months but can't decide which would be better, since i have a limited amount of money :) The thing is, that i could buy a SP3 with a higher spec i7 (used), or for a bit more i could buy a SP4 with an i5 inside. But which is better, considering technology has moved on since then. Same with graphichs and RAM. I know i should probably wait until the sale starts so i can see some comparison tests, but which do you think is better?

Thanks for the help :)

All depends on what you need the device for....

I can afford the i7 version. Do I NEED it? no... So i'll prob be going with the i5 configuration.

Needing and wonting something is hard to separate :) But i get your point, just because i7 is better doesn't mean i need it. I don't think i really do anyways...

In pricing things out, an i5 SP4 with 16GB ram and 256GB sdd is $100 less than an i7 SP4 with 8GB ram and 256 GB ssd.

Not sure if an i7 is worth $100 + a missing 8GB RAM for me. :)

SP3 i7s are looking might attractive on ebay right now. Ill give it a few weeks after SP4 release.

Ridiculous the price difference between the processors.

Exacly what i was thinking, especially since the design differences are minimal. Id take the SP4, but $300 between the i5 and i7 is too much for me...
