Surface Pro 4 keyboard question

So I'm thinking about picking up a SP4 and I have a question about the keyboard options. There are currently two keyboard options. One with a fingerprint reader and one without. Does the one without the reader still have the glass track pad with the 5 touch points or is that feature just available with the fingerprint model? Also, what is the point of the fingerprint reader? With Windows Hello available, why would we need a fingerprint reader? Am I missing something with this?

Yes. The fingerprint reader is just so SP3 users can have Windows Hello.

Ah right, I was getting a bit confused, thinking that ONLY the fingerprint reader worked on the Pro 3
