Kickstand wiggle and crunch

Hey everybody, new to the forum. Upgraded from my sp1 to the sp4 a couple of weeks ago and I've noticed that there is some play in the kickstand. You can wiggle it back and forth before you kit any resistance when it's out. Is this normal?

Also there is a faint crunching sound from what sounds like one of the hinges when I deploy the kickstand.

Any thoughts?

The kickstand on my device is pretty rigid and stiff. Nothing loose about it.
