I read this at the end of the new iPad Pro sales article by Daniel Rubino.

"Are any of you surprised byApple's success with the iPad Pro? Will an improved Surface 4 – expected this spring – help turn the tablesin Microsoft's favor? Letus know in comments."

What is this based on? Do we have any evidence that an updated SP4 is actually going to be released?

So this tells me they can't fix the existing SP4 and are working on an updated one? I thought they would be working on the SP5 now.

"Surface 4" would be an update to the non-pro line, the current Surface 3, not the existing SP4.
    zkyevolved and xandros9 like this.

I would agree with jbs-horn. I don't anticipate a new SP4 being released, but currently MS is selling the SP4 and the S3. It would make sense that a non-pro version of a Sky-Lake system would be taken to market, so a Surface 4.

A Surface 4 makes sense. There's no new Core processors in the spring. But cherry trail will have followups.
