Why is my pen not working?

I got my Surface Pro 4 yesterday and this morning the pen stopped working. I have unconnected and repaired it several times, took the battery out and back in again, and nothing changes. Once in a while it will work for a minute or two, but that is it. The top eraser button still works, but the other end does not. Can anyone help me? I have a wireless mouse but I haven't used it yet. I also have a drive for discs and a keyboard. I don't know if that will effect it.

Same here. Have had my SP4 2 month and the pen has always worked for me, although I've not used in that often. Now today the tip is completely dead, but the eraser button still works for opening One Note or taking screen shots. What's up?

After the update I had to remove tthe pen bt device and repair it. I also found that if I have a led lamp or plasma lamp within a foot or two of my surface, that they interfere with the pen bt. Do you have any electronics nearby that could be causing interference?

Removed pen device and repaired, no success. Removed battery and insert it again, no success. Restarted the Surface, and now it works...
