hi guys,

a while back there was an article here on how to make a custom setting to have "best performance" selection rather than only "balanced" on the surface pro 3 power options. problem is I had to factory reset my system (long story) and I lost this setting, and cant find the article. a link or guide would be greatly appreciated!

Nope, it was something to do with making a custom power option to allow your cpu to speed up and make the machine work faster (not necessarily a overclock)

Warning: I tried this and it totally drains your battery fast. It makes the SF run hot too. I went back to the original setting - now all is well again.
