What's your experience using both?

For me, I'm quite dissatisfied maybe because I put higher expectations to i7-Iris combo... Somehow, my very outdated AMD A10 laptop which had cost me so much less performs better.

I use PS, Ai and Id often. I assume they are the less graphic-intense software in Adobe CC...

My Surface Pro 4: i5, 128GB, 4GB Ram

I use Photoshop CC and Lightroom CC for some light editing. Photoshop is pretty okay, InDesign and Illustrator should be too. Lightroom Classic with a big catalogue ist too much it.
I think that the i7 modely should be fine, you should at least look for 8GB of RAM.
If necessary I would recommend to use the new Lightroom CC instead of Lightroom Classic. It works pretty well.

My SP4 RAM is 8 GB.

Lags normally happen when I'm doing some fast-paced workflow and higher resolution (>300 ppi) artwork.

And saving those files is a nightmare.

I'm not sure if a 16 GB model would improve the situation...

*update June 2018*

Photoshop is unusable.
I even tried a fresh Windows Installation with Photoshop as only additional Software.
Files cant be safed or exported and Filters cant be used. Not enough RAM left.

Spring Creators Update Made my SP4 an old and slow Device :(
