Surface Pro 4 Charger Issues

Good morning,
I have a baby daughter. I also have a Surface Pro 4 charger. One sad day, the bedroom door was left open, and the baby found my charger before I found her. Now, four of the twelve contact pins (one in each group of three) is covered in that green-black "rust." I've tried a dry micro fiber cloth and dabbing with Isopropyl alcohol... But I've only succeeded in being able to charge the tablet (slowly) when it's not being used. If I use the tablet, it doesn't charge at all. Any suggestions?

I think buying a new charger shouldn't be a very big waste of cash. However, if u r willing to try, get some rough sponge, and start rubbing. It will take a couple of hours, but it is for ur benefit :D
Hope u succeed.
