I have adobe acrobat pro 11, Im trying to figure out how I can just go to town marking up a PDF... not sure if this is a function of adobe acrobat, but if not... what program will allow me to do it?

I have cases and slides for classes that I would like to take notes on the pages.

I havent got Adobe but the builtin PDF reader on Windows 8 allows direct annotation with the pen, if Adobe supports direct handwriting it should probably work too.

    1. Click on VIEW, COMMENT, and choose DRAWING AND MARKUP
    2. A pane will open on the right that will have a pen icon and an eraser icon
    3. Right click on each and choose "add to Quick Tools Toolbar"

You will now have a pen and eraser icon at the top, just tap the pen and you are ready to write.
