How well does Surface Pro handle photo and video software? Has anyone installed Photo Gallery, Movie Maker, Adobe Photoshop, Sony Vegas or other photo/video software?

I've been using the CS6 suite on mine since day 1. It is no where in the same league as my Alienware 18x (16GB 1866mhz RAM, overclocked i7Xtreme, dual Radeon 6970 crossfire, dual 512GB SSDs), but actually runs better than my Alienware 11x (SB i7 1.7ghz, 256GB SSD, Nvidia 335m, 8GB RAM).

I have been able to run Photoshop 64, After Effects, Premier, and Audition. I actually captured a very high quality 250MB audio file walking around with a Sennheiser shotgun boom mic directly into Audtion, captured a second file, and mixed right on the spot. Very nice.

Agree with pdch about Photoshop. Much better performance than you'd expect, but obviously not workstation-level. I was able to pull up a 25-layer 5K x 3K 300MB image super quick and pan around on it and draw over it without lag. Lightroom is an absolute dream on it - that's what I'm going to mostly be using this for when I'm on the road. Pressure sensitivity in the digitizer does not work with Adobe desktop products yet (like CS6 and Lr) because of driver issues that they're hopefully going to fix. Not a dealbreaker for me, but don't be disappointed when it doesn't work. Can't speak to video software - not my bag :)
