Digital Ink Doesn't work in Reader

When I try to annotate a PDF in Reader on my Surface Pro using the pen, the annotations work flawlessly but when I save the file and re-open it all the digital ink is scrambled and unreadble.

MS tech support duplicated the issue on their Surface Pro and reported a bug. Can any of you guys try this?

I'm surprised I haven't heard any complaints about this because annotating a PDF with the pen is a core and heavily advertised feature that doesn't work.

i do see some distortion, of the ink and of the underlying text, too.

Good news, if you open up your saved PDF file, it shows the ink correctly in Adobe Reader Touch...problem is I haven't found a way to use the pen in Adobe Reader touch, but it shows your work you did on PDF Reader.

Hmm, so its a bug that's associated with Reader recognizing ink. It is saved correctly in the PDF as adobe reader can read it.
