How the crap do you turn down the volume on the device for all apps?

I have the ringtone set to vibrate with no audible ring, but I can't find where to set the device volume for all apps.

Also can you switch from speaker to headset for skype mobile and other apps?

I found it! On the Moto Q9h you have to hold down the select button (in between the up/down buttons on the right side) to access the device volume setting.

I have been trying to figure this out, even tech support didn't know. I was sick of having the volume off for games, or blasting me out of the room.

Speaking of volume, I can't hear the voice notes I record in the voice Notes function. Any ideas?
