Hello. kamusta? (trans. how are you?)

i'm really new here to the forums. and sadly i still don't have any WP8 yet :/

but. i'm planning to buy my first WP by the end of September.

although i'm still contemplating which of the three should i get.

HTC 8x / 820 / 920.

i love the sexiness of the 8x but i'm not pretty sure if i can live missing out on the exclusive apps nokia has to offer.

still. it's a long way to go 'til purchase time. lol.

considering the price drops here on the Philippines. i hope i can have one of the three for a sweet price.

i'm enjoying the community.

WP Rocks..

Hi,

Welcome to WPCentral forums. Please feel free to post and resolve any queries. Yes, you will miss out on the Nokia Exclusives with 8x. Overall I think 920 has the best package among your options and the rest depends on your budget.

Haha. Welcome!

The 920 is already available at Kimstore for ~14K, and that's one of the sweetest deals you could get anywhere.

Though, that 8X is piping hot.

Just go to Sulit and pick. I've bought from Kimstore before. I bought my HTC 8S on the launch day at HTC MegaMall, I was the first and ended up buying 4 more for friends.

Price did drop fast. Though on kimstore and other online shop the ativ s went from 12680 to 14k. Instead of dropping like other countries are doing.

Alot has been getting issues with overheating and battery drain with 920 including me. I had an 820 before and I like it better, lighter and the removable battery. You should weigh your preferences carefully. If you like taking pictures alot, better get the 925, the price isn't that far from 920, it's lighter and has extra lens.

the main problem now is budget. lol. i'm really leaning on 820 for the price. but judging how the price drops. i'm not so sure if i'd be happy if i didn't get the 920 because of 2000-3000Php Price margin. i'm still contemplating. september 30 is still two weeks

just be wary that these stores do not have official nokia warranty

nope.they don't have Nokia care. They have 3 days replacement warranty and 1 year service warranty.
Bought my 820 for 11380 on hotgadgets. Comparing to Nokia PH SRP the 820 is still at 18k+. I also wanted the 920 but budget is not there. And I needed a phone asap. So I went with my original plan with the 820. So far it's all smooth and loving it.

P.s. Only problem you will have when buying through kimstore or other online sellers is the stock and color availability. Got mine in white,(black and white was the only one available) wanted the red one though. But I'll probably save up for the red wireless shell anyways

My friend got his 820 for 9K, it turned out to be a "Not for sale" edition but Nokia Philippines updated it to GDR2.
