    looking at joining up with Wind Mobile (now that Mobilicity has gone to the dark side and is being absorbed by Telus) and getting a Win 8 phone...these are their only two options.

    which one is better than the other? spec wise, they appear to be pretty similar.

    First of all, you posted in the wrong section!

    anyways...

    looking at spec sheets, they look on-par for the most part.

    Here's what stood out to me...

    W1 has a front-facing camera unlike the 8S.
    8S has the brand-name Gorilla Glass
    Same specs for the most part, but the W1 is clocked slightly higher.
    8S has Bluetooth 3.1 over 2.1 and an FM radio
    W1 has a larger battery

    but I'd be hard pressed to decide which.
    I heard Huawei ditched the W1 in terms of updates a while back, but I don't remember if that was true. Then again its not roses and unicorns in 8S land.
    IMO I love the 8S's design though.
