Heya, I use to own a Lumia 920 which I had a lot of battery issues with over time (a year) and it would be on 1% after 3 hours or so, so I left the Lumia brand for a BlackBerry z30 and what a mess that was haha, i missed my phone that i only got 3 hours out of and I have recently come back with the new Lumia 640 battery seems fine so far, I always looked at Windows Central and look at the forums and today I thought I would join up and connect with the community.

If your phone is not carrier branded 100% yes.

If it is carrier branded, then they have final say on passing the OTA update to you. With the 640 and 640 XL being the last models released before 10 hits, the chances even on carrier branded phones is outstanding.

Welcome to Windows Central. The 640 being the latest device should get the update to Win10Mo later this year. As RumoredNow pointed out even if it is carrier branded, the probability of getting the update is pretty much close to 100%. Good luck.

Welcome back! If you're using the provided charger and not leaving your phone constantly plugged into the charger, then battery should last you years. I personally only charge my phone when it is down to 5% or below. :)
