HDR Super Tree, was taken almost pitch dark except the Super Tree was mildly lit. Lumia 1020 make it possible to take such pitch dark photo.

Very nice! May I know how do you achieve the HDR effect? Is it an app or a PC software?

welcome to the Lumia family ! 😁

*amateur advise, not a pro photographer *
For night photos with exaggerate amount of details, your ISO need to go as low as possible to preserve the details. But it the shutter needs more time to stay open to capture as much detail and light as possible, so in short it have to stay at the same position without moving or even slight vibration. Thus you need a tripod, and that's what I do for my case. Well you can pm me if you wanna know more.
Thak you! So basically, you're saying that for nice night photos like yours I need to get my ISO down to like 20 or 100 and shutter speed to the highest possible. Cool, will try that today, thanks for the tips! I already tried a night photo and the best I did was this one, which has ISO set to 800 and shutter speed 0,8s (now I know it was a baad baad setup). It looks great on phone screen, but it has some stronge edges and a low-level od detail on PC. Also I have to mention I don't have a Camera Grip and tripod yet.

Hello, I have now Android Lg G2 phone and I want to buy Phone with good camera for taking photos of my kids (which are always in movement). Dose Lumia 1020 make good pics of moving objects like kids?

those were bracketed shots of 5 photos at difference exposures on a tripod, then i merge them via HDR software with some post process to get a more punchier effect and colors.

it looks good for a handheld shot, but if you want cleaner and almost noise free quality. iso 100-200 is way to go, but your shutter have to go higher then. another trick is to get with EV higber to make the photo looks brighter, but it doesn't really bring out more details. so be moderate on that. cheers

    all are HDR shots.
for the trees, nothing really special. purpose of that is to show how well exposed the tree from the dark/bright area was, without loosing details.

actually the dynamic range itself is pretty good for this phone. look at the difference between the two, you can't really tell if i did not label it down which is which.
