I made a search for it its 350 $$ (sony ) , its a lot of money for 30x camera , and if its about carrying another camera with you , for 350 $ I can by bridge camera with up to 65x zoom with wifi and it will give even better results
that Chines lens cost now in amazon starting from 70 $$ , and its bad , I am using it as telescope , without any thing (all my set cost 130 $$ include 5 lenses 50x , 12x , wide angle , fish eye and 10 x macro )
you can look directly throw it , but if you like to have a telescope that can be used with your phone and small and very cheap
use the 12x , it can give up to 72x zoom with 1020 loses zoom , and cost only 20 $$
here is a moon photo with my bridge camera (Nikon) 42x vs that bad chines lens
and the camera cost 220 $$ , less than the sony I don't find it good idea to spend much money the sony lens
this is Nikon bridge camera 42 x , 220 $
half moon nikon p520.jpg
this is chines lens 70 $
nokia 1020 50x .jpg

if its about astronomy , buy a real telescope

any way its up to you

Just some experiments with angle of light from the window and also the detail of materials captured by two phones (Lumia 1020 and Lumia 920). I still feel these are the phones with the best camera algorithm.

Warning: The following photo/s may not be for the faint-hearted.

The photo was taken several months ago, a few moments after watching my sister's stage act in here theater class. At that moment, the hallway just outside the theater had no people, and since I was in the stage of experimenting with exposure values, I brought my L1020 out and snapped a photo of it.

At first, it looked like an ordinary photo - nothing really special. My dad, who at that time was taking random photos with his Nikon D300s, happened to take a photo also of the same hallway (but with much better results, of course!). So I went on to justify that at least the L1020 could perform still relatively well under relatively low lighting conditions... which brought my attention to how the lines of the hallway emphasized the vanishing point at the far end. And so I zoomed in, and zoomed in, ...and zoomed in even further... and I was stunned by what I saw.

Again, the following photo is not for the faint-hearted.

This is a cropped section of the door at the end of the hallway, and there was something either in the reflection or behind the glass of the door, something that wasn't there when I took the photo, something that couldn't be reproduced either by my L1020 or by the D300s.

What do you see?

I don't know. What are we supposed to see? An alien?

That's normal. The L1020 does not have optical zoom, so it only does digital zoom both in Lumia Camera and the-soon-to-be-obsolete (as it is in newer Denim phones) Windows Phone Camera. The digital zoom only serves to aid the photographer in aiming and focusing; digital zoom takes only a smaller central portion of the high-res image and creates both a real-time display and a lower resolution over sampled 5MP image for later viewing - but the resolution of the high-res image is unchanged.

In other words, the digital zoom has the same effect as the "Reframe" function; the only difference is that digital zoom is done real-time, while the "Reframe" is already under post-processing. In effect, you can recreate the 6.02X zoom of the WP Camera using the Reframe function of the Lumia Camera after taking the photo with the Lumia Camera at n times zoom and still get the same resulting image (if not better due to differences in algorithms, setting customization, etc.).
