about last picture, have zoom 2,75x optical zoom L1020 and external digital zoom ?

I did not understand your question. I am also not sure what you did in the photos that you posted. But the L1020 does not have optical zoom (since it does not have the additional mechanisms required to do that - you would need an external lens to attach to the L1020 for that), only digital "lossless" zoom that simulates optical zooming. Optical zoom will always be better than digital zoom, but the L1020 has enough resolution that it can zoom in digitally without much loss in detail compared to other smartphones.

P.S. Your "10x Optical" does not look like it was zoomed in optically since the quality of the image is not the same as the "original". The "10x digital" is obviously just a low res version of the "10x optical".

P.P.S. Let us continue this discussion in a different thread to attract other forum members. Now back to appreciating photos taken with the L1020.

Hi everyone this is off topic. I am going on a stag this Friday and my question is. Which phone should I bring. It's between 1020 & 1520. I will be in a lot of bars and clubs so pic shooting at night is my question. Thanks for your help.

You may want to directly compare the performance of the two phones at low light first. The Denim update (which is available to more L1520 phones that it is to L1020 phones) brought improvements to the performance of the camera, but nothing beats actual testing for first hand info. However, since I don't have an L1520, [Umy ]vote goes to the L1020[/U] (sensor size, resolution and just look at how much light can enter that lens!).

Nice to see the thread still going strong....

Really miss my 1020. As much as I like the Note 4 in strong light, I'm still waiting for much needed camera controls improvements.

Yes, I remember your photos with L1020. I used to like your clicks. I have the Note 4 too but prefer to take photos with L1020...Love the options available on L1020.

The below shot of the owl was in pitch darkness. Zero lighting and no flash.. Shutter Speed at 4Secs. ISO at 3200. This shows the low light performance of Lumia phones.
