I'm on the fence. I have no real reason to switch from my 920 but I am impressed by the camera and extra memory. The only thing holding me back is the thought of what could come out this fall.

If I had a 920... or if I was on AT&T for that matter... I most certainly would upgrade!

I guess the only good thing about Verizon is the lack of tough decisions...

I will have to see . On other sites it has been stated we are getting the nokia pro camera app. I want to see a 920 pic and 1020 pic comparison first. IF its not a huge leap I will not buy the 1020 and will wait for a 1080p screen nokia later this year.

I'm very interested in a 64GB.... finally catch up to my N9! Waiting and seeing what happens in Canada to decide the best way forward.

I don't think anyone should abandon the 920 because the Lumia 1020 is the 1020 meaning an introduction to the Lumia 10xx series. Elop said that there will be a new phone in the fall during the Q&A at the live event so if you want a 920 successor then you should wait for the next 9xx phone. Besides by then specs will be upgraded.

As much as I love the 1020 (wish it came in Cyan) I'm going to wait and see what they have in the Fall. At that time, if the assumed 920 update device isn't worth it then I will get a 1020. Prices should drop by then too. At this point I just can't wait to get an AMOLED screen. Hopefully the new 920 will be a thinner device without the extra bezel around the screen (the 1020 fixed that).

Why?
Best thing to do is use your 920/current lumia till it's getting "old"(after 1/2 years) because by then there will be way better phones anyway
Unless you want to buy a new phone every few months.

And just like apple:never buy first Gen, 2nd Gen is usually an improved and cheaper phone.

And ofcorse wp8 will have evolved by the time your phone is old.

So buy less, get more
