My wife has the 928 and it is a great phone and takes very good photos I know there is no announcement on if or when the 1020 might come to Verizon should I wait 6 months to see if it is coming or get the 928 now? Has any one heard good rumors on Verizon getting the 1020?

Towards the later end of the year, Nokia has hinted that more phones are coming. So you may as well wait, as Nokia may announce a new generation of phones. Plus Verizon just got the 928, so I doubt that they'll pick up the 1020 unless there is some massive demand for it.

Unless they are releasing a new phone in the next couple of weeks go with what is there. There is always something new coming out. As fast as they're pumping out devises you could end up waiting for years.

I am in the same boat, and my HTC Trophy is really showing it's age. With that in mind, I believe I am going to wait until a 1020 equivalent is released at Verizon.

Assuming there's a reason you're with Verizon, and would like to stick with Verizon -- other things equal -- I'd get the 928.

The 928 has a great camera. Not as nice as the 1020, but still very good. By the time your new contract is up, you'll probably be able to get a 1028 with a quad core processor, which will allow for faster camera operation.

Just get the 928 it does take great photos as well. All the 92x models take very good photos. The differences are minute.

If you have an old phone right now then I would upgrade to the 928, it's also an excellent Lumia.

I struggle with this. The 1020 is the phone that really seems worth paying full price to keep my unlimited data, but we have absolutely ZERO indication that there is a variant coming to Verizon. There haven't even really been any rumors, as there were quite early for what eventually became the 928.

What makes it harder is that Nokia hasn't revealed a new flagship for this year (unless the 1020 is it) and if they do, it may be a phablet, which doesn't appeal to me personally even if it does have the 1020's camera.

It sure would be nice if some leaker would risk his or her job and family's welfare to reveal something for us ...
