Question about the flash

Not sure if this is a handset issue or related to WP8. I wonder how the camera flash can be set to off when using camera function in come apps (such as mobile banking). When I used WP7.5 phone, I opened Camera app, turn flash off, Done. But today when I tried to take a picture of a check with BOA mobile banking app, the flash kept turning on automatically despite I set it off in both Camera and Nokia Pro Cam.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I don't have a banking app to try (Hurry up already Wells Fargo) I will see if I can find someone with a BoA account to test with. Also have you asked BoA support or tried a well light area?

The setting is done by the App. Chase always fire flash as well

Are sure that it's not the Focus Assist Light that is turning on? You have to disable that also.
