My APAC carrier version was updated to 3050.0000.1338.1004. I've got the ROM from NCS for APAC CV version (without carrier) at 3050.0000.1338.1010.

Guys one question.
I live in middle east so I am going to buy the 1020. So one day I went to store to check it out. In settings, it was writing NOKIA 909 @demo!
so when I'll buy it,will it be 909 or 1020????
plzzzzz reply

They all say that, presumably Nokia originally planned to call it the 909.

Yes, all the 1020's are named as the 909 in the settings. However, whatever you do please do not let the shop sell you the one that also says @demo. These are just the demo units and do not have the full firmware installed. They will also perform a factory reset automatically every so often.

Nokia 909 mystery explained? Nokia Lumia 1020′s alter ego. : My Nokia Blog
Hey guys, I want to get your suggestions.

This is not a problem, read this! But if this device you bought is not for sale...they HAVE to give you a commercial one!!

Today, I went to my local store to shop around for a new phone and saw a lumia 1020 on display for a very reasonable price (around ?350 ). Without hesitation I pulled the trigger and brought it. When I boot it up for the first time "Not for resale" logo came up. It has all sorts of diagnostic apps installed. It's an unlocked Europe version of the white lumia 1020 with the following details.

I went back to the store but they are not willing to give me an refund. I'm not sure what to do now, should I contact Nokia and explain my situation?

Regards,
Ryan

909 is not a demo version.!! 1020 is the commercial name on the market, on the stores....for nokia it is 909!

Yes we know that. What people need to be careful about is to not let the shops sell the demo units to an unsuspecting buyer. There are demo units floating around in the shops and should stay in the shops.
