Well, I have Both the Lumia 925 On Tmobile and Unlocked ATT Lumia 1020 On tmobile ($698) No Camera Grip Att would do that for me.

Having a hard time figuring out which phone I wanna keep, the Camera on the Lumia 1020 is better, but I started to think all I do with my pictures is share them on Social Network. Never print anything. i Do like the Lumia 925 being thin and lighter, But I love the Yellow Color of the Lumia 1020. and since I live in a Rearmed Tmobile Area service has been great on the phone. But I guess the $698 Price tag is where i hung at, Not sure the better picture are worth it.

anyone elses thought ?

Also stink If I return the 1020 gota pay restock fee

Hmm. You could try to keep both, but...

If you're a casual smartphone user, the 925 is for you, especially if all you do with your 1020 is take pictures and take them to any social networking site.

On the other hand, the 1020 is a device to fight arm and leg for. You're seeing the future here.

In the end, it's all down to personal preference.

If you decide to go for the 1020, here's a quick tip. Upload the original 38MP photo onto a site. After a day, upload a crop of the original photo, just enough to show off the lossless zoom of the phone. Or, upload a Find Waldo type of photo.

I think one of my issues is the Cost of the Lumia 1020, trying to justify the Cost over my 925 other then Camera The 925 form factor is better.. signal seems better on 1020 on t mobile which is weird, i tell u is was a PIA to get att to unlock 1020 ..

It probably isn't an issue where you live but I think wifi calling is only available on the 925 since that is a T-Mobile specific feature. Not sure if the unlocked AT&T 925's will have it either since it has to show up as an option on the phone itself and not a downloaded app. In any event if you are going to want T-Mobile's wifi calling feature you should keep the 925.

Agreed, I can confirm WiFi calling is definitely not on the 1020: nor is datasense. There had been a rumor that these two features would appear after hard resetting with a T-Mobile SIM installed..NOT true.
Since none of these were deal-breakers for me, the 1020 is great for me.

Honestly, I would keep both. It would just be too difficult to give either phone up. On the other hand, if you're a T-Mobile customer now, I'd stick with the 925.

Wifi Calling Not needed, I get Perfect LTE on Both Phones, I am Tmobile Customer, the 1020 Get Better Signal tho. Can't keep both cant use them both at same time LOL I like the 1020 but my husband things i should return it since its $380 More expensive then 925. I starting to think thats what i will do, I do love the Yellow 1020.. but I know in 3-4 month there be a better phone out, and on Tmobile is pretty easy to upgrade .. where this 1020 is $700

To the OP: Where did you purchase your 1020? How was it unlocked? How did you find out that your area is a T-Mobile refarm?

My Father is a photo buff currently using the 925. I'm thinking of buying him the 1020 and giving my Mom, who currently uses a 810, the 925.

I love both. I would say that the 1020 is an original right now and the 925 is swimming in a sea of similar devices. For me though they are the two best phones out right now.

If you want the option of a smaller and lighter phone, have you considered keeping the 1020 and substituting a 521 for times you don't need the camera? It is available for $115 on Amazon right now and is lighter than the 925. It doesn't have LTE but it does have 4G and the 5 mp camera may be adequate for casual social networking use. With cost an issue you could have a choice of both worlds for a lot less if the 521 works for you. Simply put the sim card in the phone you want to use that day. The 521 also has wifi calling for times you may travel into an area where the T-Mobile network isn't as strong.

Exactly right, Nola75! Although I don't use my 521 that often these days because IMO the 1020 is light enough for me - certainly a lot lighter than the 808. I do however keep the 521 as a backup in case the 1020 ever needs warranty work..
