Why are images getting blurred?

I am guessing you need the firmware update as well, not just the Nokia Camera app update?
I had the preview gdr3 update since day one and noticed the heavy Post Processing on images before the camera update. The camera update helped but the PP is still there. Just not as heavy as before. I'm guessing it's noise reduction and fixing blown highlights. I just wish Nokia could give us options to do "Off, Low, Medium, and High" auto post processing.

Gonna test things tomorrow. Haven't taken a single photo since updating.

Has anyone tested colour saturation with the xenon flash on auto mode?

Here are some samples from GDR3 Preview with latest Nokia Camera as of 10/22/2013:

Screenshot Review

As you can see the two second preview is still sharper and has more contrast but the highlights are a little blown out on the headphones. The preview has more yellow tint on the table. The post processing overall better color and better exposed but not as sharp and has less contrast.

Guys, Nokia have released an update for the 1020 today which includes imaging enhancements. I have not tried it out yet but update your phone and see if the same problems persist. As far as I have heard, it certainly improves the white balance.

The problem is Nokia allowed carriers to block or delay the update as they see fit, which once again means anyone on ATT will be waiting forever to get it.

Those are the actual images other than the 34MP. The highest screenshot resolution depends on the screen resolution which is 1280x768 on the 1020.

Sorry, I missed that..

Well, I still think that what you are seeing on the preview is not the full sized image, and then once it gets processed it shows it to you.. but it looks different on the screen because now you have more pixels to scale compared to the preview. That's my take on it..

Exactly we are at the will of AT&T. Maybe we can all start posting on their Facebook like crazy like we did for the 920 update (like it really helps but at least we can vent).

Nokia needs to find a way to release an update without the carrier being involved like MS did with the gdr3 preview.
