I just bought a 1020 (yellow) from a Microsoft retail store in DFW area, off-contract. I had asked about any deals, and after confirming with the manager was told the free camera grip deal was back ($74.99 value). In addition, I was offered a Microsoft Answer Desk out of Box challenge or whatever, which basically was to try OneNote on a Surface 2. Man wasn't it awesome, but slightly heavy too.
So after playing with it, I got the free camera grip (not connected to the onenote challenge) plus $25 discount/cash. I think I heard the manager say coupon code c31 for the grip and something on the lines of onenote2 or one2 for the $25 deal.
Heads up. If you're buying a 1020 please ask for deals.
Even though the sales experience was good, I was slightly disappointed with the meager staffing and working knowledge of the WP8. Not saying the sales person was bad but I wish MS could take a leaf out of the Apple sales force. This was my 3rd experience in a MS retail store.
