I've looked everywhere and can't seem how to turn this feature off. I have some personal photo's that I do not want on display when ever I whip my phone out in public. So how do you turn live tiles off for the "Photos" app. Thanks.
I have a few pictures marked as 'favourites' and they are the only ones that rotate on the large pictures tile on the home screen. Try that?
AFAIK there's no way to hide some of the pics and have the rest rotate.
Actually... There is a better way that I have found because I had the same problem as OP
- Make 1 photo your "favorite"
- Make sure there are no other favorite photos
- Go to your Settings.
- Swipe to the Applications Tab.
- Press photos+camera
- Select "favorite photos" from the dropdown menu of "Start Tile shows"
- Remove the the photo that you have made a favorite in Step 1
- ???
- Profit. Your start screen will no longer show any photos, but rather just say Photos
- I did this because I wanted to Photos Tile to be transparent too and wanted to see my background perfectly.
