My Lumia 1020 has a squeeky camera button

Is that common? None of my other phones have had this.

It could just be a minor hiccup with your device.
My 920's volume rocket has a slight squeak to it, but thats probably from some stuff getting in during its stint in a case.

My 1020 is just a week old by now and I already noticed kind of loose\wobbly side buttons right after unboxing it. While the volume rocker and camera button are more or less okay, the power button is kind of annoying. Yesterday I went into two different stores to check out the units they had on display, both had rock solid buttons. I am most likely going to send my Lumia back for a replacement, while being a rather small problem, it still kind of annoys me. I don't think there is mug you can do against it yourself, so I am glad the squeaky button repaired itself in your case!

It might be worth calling a Nokia Care Centre and asking if they can swap it in store.
