Hi,
I am pretty pissed since I never had with any phojne this kind of issue.
If I take photos on white background you can see a spot, a sort of transparent black spot, still visible.
I think a miniscratch may have happened.
Since the point of this phone is the camera having this issue is a bummer. Do you think that the small glass the covers the camera can be fixed or replaced easily.. phone is still under warranty, so I guess I cannot just pop open it.

As a camera nut it doesn't look like a scratch effect to me but I agree with the previous post, return to manufacturer....if you've got a 1020 you want that camera working properly.

I can never forget that day when I took a shot in a bright sunlight at an open sea with f/22
THOSE DARK SPOTS!!!!
Got Sensor Dust? Here's How to Check. - Digital Photography School
tl:dr sensor dust won't show up clearly in low f-stop, or large apertures like our L1020. They'll appear as blurred botches. They will be most visible when using high f-stops, or small apertures. It is better for you to send your camera to a trained professional to clean sensor dust; for our L1020, get it changed
