About oversampling

Hey, does anyone know if I choose to take only 5mpix pictures, does the lossless zoom work with them?

No it doesn't, Nokia actually recommends taking pictures at 5MP!

No, The loseless Zoom after You take the Picture only works, if You choose The "5 + 41 MP" Mode.

uh ok! my bad! I thought it does! since the 5mp pics are so clear in macro mode with full zoom!

You'll want both on at JPG. That way if you reframe it will give you a new pureview image.

Shooting at 5mp only will give you 1 oversampled pureview image, however if you reframe it has no more pixels to pull information from to create a new pureview image, it simply crops the existing one.

Thanks for replies. Was asking because having at the moment over 2k pictures is filling internal SD pretty quickly
