    hi, my lumia currently runs wp 8.1 update1, some days ago i noticed that my xenon flash doesnt work properly, the problem is when i take picture light comes once instead of twice and pictures during day light appear white and opposite in night.what can be the problem?
    1. software? i did twice soft and hard reset
    2.camera
    3,xenon module

    Before you start thinking it is hardware, use Nokia Recovery Tools. It did produce different result for me (I am currently having flash problems myself) compare to the "hard reset" done through the phone

    check your settings? is the focus assist light on/off? is the flash forced to be on? or is it on automatic or off?

    focus assist is in auto,firs one or two photos with xenon is good but after when taking pic with xenon photo is very dark, without xenon it is ok. but lumia 1020 without xenon is nothing for that reason i thing that it is xenon module problem...

    My xenon flash also does not work in the result of water damage. Could you please let us know how you fixed it and how much did it cost? I went to a couple repair shops, and was told basically to leave it alone. They don't know how to fix Lumia. In one shop the guy did not know if anything needed to be soldering. And they don't have spare parts.

    I read in one of the posts on this forum that people bought and exchanged the "flash module". I don't know what it means - just the flash? Or everything, including camera...In any case I got myself T4 screwdriver and a guitar pluck as recommended in the video. I was able to open the phone, but did not risk to go deeper. Just closed it and keep using it with no flash (in my case assistant LED flash works, but xenon is completely dead). My phone is not on warranty and Nokia rep recommended one company, which they certify. But I bet you they will charge an arm and a leg.

    So if you have any additional info, please post
