Can anyone tell me how I can do a full factory reset and be 100% sure it's done without the use of the screen?

My 1020 screen is cracked and doesn't come on at all, there's no way to see what the phone is doing. I want to sell it on ebay for parts but need to ensure all of my data is scrubbed.

Is there any way, or any tool, that I can use to connect the phone to my PC and do it that way? Maybe some kind of screen emulator? TIA

There is a key combination, try this:

Next press and hold Volume Down, and keep this button until you connect the charger, and you see an exclamation mark.

<of course, you can't see this, so just give it a minute>

Then press buttons in this order: Volume Up -> Volume Down -> Power button -> Volume Down.

If you can connect it to you computer, then you'd be able to verify it after it reboots.

I don't think so. Only that it will vibrate when it eventually reboots.

Awhile after reboot, you can connect it to the computer and see if you can see anything on it. Not sure if you'll be able to, since it will be at the initial startup screen at point.
