    Hi, everybody!
I'm considering replacing my Lumia 625. And I have several options (735, 830, 1020, 1320, 1520). The best one, in my opinion, is the 1520, but I can't afford it, so the next one would be the 1020, which I have loved since the day of its release. But given the fact that we're in the mid-2015 already, and the 1020 is two-years-old (was released on july, 2013), my questions are: Is it still worthy to buy it? Or is the 1020 obsolete somehow? How well has the 1020 aged?
Thanks in advance for you opinion, I hope you guys can help me.

    Hello, welcome to Windows Central.

I've had my L1020 for 15 months now, and I'd say that it's still performing well - though towards the 11 month of ownership I had to have it repaired under warranty for some fault in the main board. I'm not enjoying some of the features that the L1520 has, such as Hey! Cortana and Sensor Core, but I found ways to get around it. It's still the best camera in a phone, though the other specifications of the phone may already be a bit outdated.

But enough of my opinion. I've seen a poll regarding the L1020, and so far with 88 participants here are the results:

Question: Does the L1020 still cut it?
52% - Of course! Still the best Camera phone out there.
    42% - It's kinda outdated now.
    5% - What's a Nokia Lumia 1020?
1% - Nope, not even worth a penny.

Old information: 52% definitely said yes, while the 42% were in a sort of lukewarm zone... but surely nobody (so far) said that it's already worthless by now. I hope this statistics would help you/us get a fair idea on what the L1020 is right now.

    My suggestion is to wait!
For months we have been hearing about 2 new flagships (possibly the 940 and 940XL) as well as a mysterious device with 1080P display.
Now in approximately 2-3 months W10m will be released and as things till now show, with its arrival, there is likely to bring more than 2 devices..
So just wait and see what those devices have to offer!
Windows 10 mobile will bring new functionality on the new devices such as continuum and windows hello(?), functions that our current devices won't see.
Although 1020 is a great camera phone (from what I've heard) it has a dual core which performs similarly to the snapdragon 400 (give or take) which will most certainly be not enough for W10m in the future.

In other words, if you take the 1020, it won't satisfy your needs for more than a year from now, but if you wait 2-3 months, you could get a newly announced device which will last for way longer!

Thanks you guys for your replies. I think I'm going to wait till the end of the year, following the advice of Alfa Kapa. I hope Microsoft surprise us (in a good way).

    YES. Get yourself a 1020.

I had the 920 since launch, and still enjoy that (although just replaced it with a 930 because the main mic has problems and I haven't gotten it fixed yet). But I still wanted the 1020 just for the camera.

Now I find that I use the 1020 as my weekend phone for pics and music, and the 930 as my main phone for work, business and finances, etc.

You can sign in with your Microsoft account on multiple devices and have access to any apps across devices (as long as they sync with the cloud so that you have the same info on all).

I have Windows 10 Mobile build 149 on both my 920 and 1020. It works fine, except for the Store (Beta) issues and a few other minor things.

Also, I now use my 920 for podcasts mainly and can just leave it in the car and not eat into my 930 battery on the drive to work.

You can never have too many Lumias! : )
