Recommended charger for Lumia 1020

My original charger (the one that came with the phone) has started failing. It doesn't charge continuously but charges on and off, sometimes several times every few minutes.

I've been searching all over the city and no one has the original charger. They all have the 750mA charger for lumia or the high power 2.1A charger for other phones like Samsung and iphone.

Can I use the 2.1A charger for my phone when the original is rated 1.5A? Or should I continue scouring the city for the original Lumia 1020 charger?

You can find the OEM charger on Amazon for $8.99. I bought one after my 925's charger came apart.

Amazon doesn't work in my country, Kenya. Importing isn't an option as I would be hit with customs duty and taxes worth 30USD

Absolutely, no question about it.
As long as they are quality, you can use any charger, higher amps are nice, that plugs into the phone - which includes most Android phones.
