As the title says, can anyone who uses the phone as their daily driver tell me what kind of battery life to expect if I buy one?

Thanks

I had the 1020 for 2 years and it's not that good battery wise when doing data intensive work like facebook or serious whatsapp chats. For the basic tasks you can easily psh more than a day. The longest I ever got my phone to last was 2 days 10 hours before charging again (100 to 15%)

If you want to take a lot of photos, put the phone in flight mode and GPS off. You'll get a lot more photos shot that way

With data switched on, the 1020 will run from 100% to 0% within 4 hours under heavy usage (instant messaging, web-browsing, videos, games, music, recording video and taking pictures). Otherwise, the battery should last about 7-8 hrs on light use. Note: This is on WP8.1.

i was actually thinking of getting a used 1020, would it be worth it? because i'm intrigued by the camera. 1520 user here.

As a user of the 1020 for the past few years, I wwouldn't recommend moving to it if you already have a 1520. You are not going to get a significantly better camera output, because the 20MP PureView on the 1520 is already that good. Plus, the storage on the 1020 (32GB) isn't expandable. I'd recommend to stick to the 1520.

you can always offload the photos you've taken to pc or other storage and then use the phone - I did that regularly when I had my phone.
