Despite the 5mp camera, I have faith in the 1320's lenses and other things that affect image quality. I saw in a vid somewhere in youtube
where the 1320's camera app was launched and to my surprise, it's better than expected.

This will also be my first windows phone 8 device, heck first smartphone! It's hard being a student after all -____-

If it is the same camera as the 521 it will be fine.

It's funny how all of a sudden 5MP is looked upon as inferior. It was just a short while ago that 5MP was only available on high end phones. 5MP is plenty for casual photography, as long as it's a decent sensor with a reasonable lens which the 521 has. The 1320 will however have 1080p video compared to the 720p of the 521, so the camera will have at least one improved spec.

Well the same company is pioneering 41, 20 & 8.7 MP cameras with OIS so it's understandable that we're a little miffed about the pathetic camera specs on an otherwise promising device. Video on phones is never really great except in cases of OIS. it's the still images where the excel and more megapixels especially with their sampling algorithms, are better than fewer megapixels.

If it is the same camera as the 521 it will be fine.

I had a 520 - the picture quality is not horrendous (as say, the Surface RT) but it isn't as good as a run of the mill 8 mp shooter either.

I'm quite surprised at them giving the 1320 just 5MP, I guess 6.7 PureView is the best for its price (like the 720); but it seems like they're opting the 1320 as the big bro of the 620 and 625, basing on the shape, camera, etc.
