If in doubt, do both. Don't think it would hurt anything and you sure would have a clean slate to start with.

In theory it should not, and I doubt it would in this situation, but I remember a guy that did a lot of testing during the initial and troublesome WP8.1 PfD update days, and he verified that he got different results depending on whether he did a hard reset only after the PfD update, or both before and after.

I'd say the same as aximtreo... can't hurt to do both.

how do u do a hard reset on a 1320 and wouldnt reseting the phone cuase the unlockedd sim to be locked again to cricket ?

hard resetting shouldn't affect the unlock, i could be wrong though. let me know how it goes, but i see no reason for it to revert, especially since its independent of the ROM on the device.

Also, the easiest way is to go to Settings > about > (reset my phone)

I wouldn't really reset before an update, but I would certainly consider resetting after a major update if I'm having issues.

ok hey if any one else wants to know how to use the code to unlock it just Go to the phone dialer and tap ##7820# and then it shows a sim and a lock you put the code in and tap the check mark if the lock opens it worked
