After the 1020, it's hard to get excited with a 16mp camera.

I'm sure it's still going to be quite good. It's just that Nokia has spoiled us so much already when it comes to cameras.

16MP is for 16:9 ratio. If the sensor is designed like the pureview 41mp then it will be a
    19-20 MP total sensor size.

Still not sure how I feel about that extra row of icons. Guess it all depends on how pretty (or ugly) someone makes it.

However, if this launches this year, there's a legit possibility that I might use my Titan upgrade on this instead of the 1020.

Camera junkies please join this thread. Is there a possibility that this camera is on par with the 1020? Just because there are less pixels doesn't mean its a worse camera, right? Could Nokia be using larger pixels? Would larger/less pixels bring down production costs?

I'm curious, as I'm trying to speculate.

Looks great, but I'll stick with my 920 till Microsoft makes Surface Phone/Windows Phone branded device.

Perhaps Nokia will be making another PureView announcement. Who knows? This camera might have some type of new tech in it.

There camera is probably going to be better than 99% of what is out now, but definitely won't be as good as the 1020. Without even using it. New tech they include may be better, but aside from the MP, there is a reason the 1020 has this huge hump!

I do like the looks though.

Nokia Lumia 1520 is really nice. And it is at a high level

I've just dragged some images into Paint Shop and corrected the perspective.
    It's roughly 158 x 80 mm
I printed out a life size mock up to hold and it seems really light.. oh wait - it's made of paper

Using the 3.5mm jack as a known quantity, it's about 7-8 mm thick. which if right is mega thin.

Thanks for the pics and measurements. This will definitely be one of my devices, I cant wait to see if MS can come with something better under the Surface Phone/Windows Phone branded devices. SD and wireless charging cover, definitely a plus.

Qi charging built IN to the phone? I'm no seeing the connector dots for a wireless cover.

Also if Chris's dimensions are correct, it really isn't much bigger than the 928... at least not as much as I had though!

    It dwarfs my 820 - it's 3/4 of the 820's height.

And an advantage of that width is the damn Bing button is away from the edge, meaning you don't catch it all the time.

I always said that I would never get a phablet. My small hands look small enough without the comparison of a giant slab in them. But these pictures actually make the device look really good! Now if only we could get some leaks of the Verizon variant..

Skydrive settings have a drop down option for "Good" or "Best" quality when uploading pictures. It's set to Good by default. Best quality will only upload to skydrive when on WiFi.
