Just talked w/an agent, and I think this is what I need to do. First of all, here's all the information I got on current promotions:

- 50% off all ATT devices between $0.99 - $199.99. Deal goes from now through Dec 7th
- $200 off the 2520 with purchase of another device does not have an ending date set until the device drops on Nov 22nd.
- No information about black friday deals was given
- The $20 app credit goes through Jan 9th, but she did NOT have any details about Spartan Assault, and 50GB of cloud storage on AT&T Locker.
- The deal to turn a device in that is < 3 years old and still working is currently active and would apply to EACH device purchased (so if I was buying 2 devices and had 2 old devices, I could get a total of $200 off), but I cannot get text messages off my Titan.

So, because of the time frame of all those deals, the first thing I'm going to do is check to see if there's an ending date for the $200 off the 2520 deal when it drops on Nov 22nd. If it goes through black friday and cyber monday, I'll wait through those days to see if there are any other deals. It doesn't seem like there are any other pre-order deals that make it so I can't wait those dates through. The Spartan Assualt and 50GB of cloud space SEEMS to be just "on purchase of the 1520," as far as I can tell.

So if everything works out right, I should be able to get the 1520, 2520, $20 of app cred, hopefully spartan assault, and 50GB of cloud space all for $300... or possibly lower with a BF/CM deal. Am I missing anything here??

******* UPDATE 11/22/13 ************

Just got back from the store. Here's how it all went down:

- I showed him the web price for the 1520 so he marked that down to $100.
- I confirmed w/him that the 2520 showed up for $200 less when the 1520 was added to the cart
- He evaluated my HTC Titan at $18, but said because it fell w/in the 3 year period, had no major defects, and could turn on (even though it could not go any further than the logo screen) it was instantly marked up to $100 as a trade in. You may need to point this out to the rep you work with. YMMV
- I had to pay for the 1520 separate because the 2520 is being drop shipped to me (the store was too small to carry it). He said it would arrive in a few days... we'll see.

WITH TAX, the prices came out to be:
$215.99 for the 2520
$7.99 for the 1520

I'm looking @ my 1520 as we speak :).

EDIT:
Wow... so apparently I'm going to get a free power keyboard now as well :D

******* UPDATE 11/23/13 ************

Good news! My 2520 is on the way (via UPS GROUND). I'm happy because the original SHIPPING (not delivery) date was 11/27-11/29. Right now it's in TX

Did they say anything about what if anything someone who pre-ordered/purchased the phone before Black Friday can do if amazon or anyone else comes out with a better deal - will they match price or anything?

I did ask about that, and she said that ATT does not do "pricing guarantees", so if you buy it before hand, you're SOL. However there have been multiple comments on some of the news stories on WPcentral where a price changed the next day and they got the difference. IMO, it's not worth testing, since all of the good deals (pending the end date of the $200 of 2520 deal) extend through BF/CM.

Re: Here's my purchasing plan for the 1520, 2520 and all deals I can get... Am I missing anything?

I called last night and didn't get so lucky with the info. My rep knew nothing of the 2520, barely knew about the 50% off promo going on now.

So to clarify, I can do this deal on the 22nd when the 2520 comes out? From ATT I'm not seeing any hard pre-order information for the 2520 at this time.

I have already called and cancelled my initial order of the 1520, so that I may take advantage of this.

Thanks.

She said that the deal is not live because the product isn't available for purchase yet (and apparently not available for pre-order either).

Everything I got from her indicated that it would be smartest to wait at least until Nov 22nd to see the length of the $200 off 2520 deal.

Well, of course when I called a yesterday and spoke to them I was told that the $99, 50% off, deal on the 1520 would end before the 22nd. Go figure!! Never can get the same info from AT&T no matter how many times you call. So, I guess I should just cancel my preorder with AT&T and hope I can get both for $300 on the 22nd.

Update: Cancelled my preorder and now rolling the dice on getting both the 1520 & 2520 for $300.

I have a question. Did any of the salespeople mention having to upgrade your data plan if you had a 2GB plan?

That did not come up in my conversations... sorry.

The one question I have - do you need to add the tablet to your dataplan? Or can you just get it for $200?

My guess is since this is Nokia + ATT deal, then you need a 2-year contract on the tablet.

@EuroKnuter.. yes. This is from the article "The price will set you back $399.99 with a two-year contract agreement."

As for my purchasing plan... looks like I need to push it up to the 22nd :(. My Titan just decided to stop loading at the logo screen. It sucks because I wasn't going to get the $100 for a trade in because I NEED the text messages for court reasons, and now I neither have the text messages nor can I trade it in :(.

Talked with another in store rep today about the $100 off phones .99-199.99. He confirmed that it would go AT LEAST through Dec7 if not further!

i went into the att store with printed copys of there web page showing the 50% off and the 100 dollar trade in value and the 1520 and 2520 bundle, the manager first told me that they werent going to be able to honor the online 50% off deal, then he told me since it wasnt an iphone that he had some wiggle room and could do it, so they said they could give me 50% off the 1520 and trade in my titan for $100 and get the 2520 for $200, and he was going to let me walk away with a yellow 1520 right then. He went to check on things and came back and told me he made a mistake and they werent supposed to be able to do all of that, but that he would still honor it for me on 11/22 if i came in. my wife ordered the 5s online for 99.99 and will be trading in her 4s for 200, so we will walk away with a new 5s a 1520 and a 2520 for $100 out of pocket, and our monthly bill only goes up $10 to fit the 2520 in.

I'll work a little harder on Friday. I stopped in the store today and they tried to give the "it's a web only deal" on the phone, but knew of and told me that they'd honor the $200 off the 2520. They kind of laughed at me when I told them I'd be back Friday morning to pick it all up. I will add the tablet to it's own plan - 250mb for $15/mo.

Wait, did she just buy the 5s recently? Can we all be doing this? I don't want a tablet but a free 1520 and money towards my next bill sounds real nice.

yes the 16gb 5s costs 99.99 on att website right now. you have to buy it online, they wont do it in store, the salesman could not believe the iphone was on sale.
I was going to get her the 5c but this deal was to good, especially considering how much more the 5s will be worth in 2 years.

Re: Here's my purchasing plan for the 1520, 2520 and all deals I can get... Am I missing anything?

Took my phone (titan) to a repair shop and they said they could flash it and POSSIBLY save it for $45. Before I had them do that, I checked the online trade in value of the phone. Everything on it is perfect, but if I select "no" for the "does it power on and off" question (it powers on, but not off), it's only worth a whopping $3.80. However if I select "yes" for that question, it only pops it up to $18.

So basically, @rbiasca, you're getting one heck of a deal!! I'll try that with my local stores, but not expecting much.
