So I'm getting mixed info and it's throwing me off. I bought the 1520 international unlocked version (with time to cancel if needed) to use on Rogers and have been under the impression I should be good to go. Yes I know I'm missing the 1700 AWS LTE band for Rogers but I figured I should be fine since it has the LTE 2600mhz band. Maybe someone with more knowledge can confirm. I live and work and spend 99% of my time in the downtown Toronto core as well.

The unlocked 1520 offers the following bands:

2G Network GSM 850/900/1800/1900
3G Network HSDPA 850/900/1900/2100
4G Network LTE 800/900/1800/2100/2600

Rogers operates on the following:

GSM/EDGE Bands: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
HSPA+/HSPA Bands: 850/AWS/1900/2100 MHz
LTE Bands: 2100, 2600MHz

So what do we think?

With the sale of more frequency bands in 2014 by CRTC, apparently, the 700 band is to be added and used for LTE by Rogers. But they are using 2100 and 2600 so you should be OK.

BTW, where did you but your 1520 international version from? Is it just pre-ordered or did you actually buy it and it is being shipped?

I ordered it but it supposedly doesn't ship till the 25th. And that is still subject to change.
