I didn't bother plugging my 1520 in last night because I was curious on how much charge the battery would lose over night. Now, I have all the same apps running in the background as the 920, Bluetooth left on all the time, and the same mail retrieval settings. Now typically the 920 would easily lose 60-70% of it's charge just sitting over night. The 1520 lost 2% Man, I really think this quad core sips the juice.

Re: 150 battery life compared to the 920

I have been astounded so far by the battery. A full day of heavy use, including videos, playing Halo Spartan, etc. and it was down to 60% by the end of the day. I also use it while exercising and have the screen on for over an hour solid for my weight lifting apps.

A 920 could sometimes dump the entire battery in an hour for mysterious reasons.

Using GPS for about 3 hours yesterday, lots of forum reading, texting, a few calls, browsing, installing apps.

Re: 150 battery life compared to the 920

It is good to hear the battery life is at least as good as the 920 because my 920 typically last me all day.

Battery life has been outstanding for me compared to my 920. Played with my 1520 all day yesterday; web surfing, emails, etc. I pretty much had the phone in use all day. Around midnight last night, I still had more than 60% battery left. My 920 would have been either giving the low battery warning or shut down altogether by early afternoon. I guess I won't have to worry so much about making sure I take my charger to work with me now! It also seems to run much cooler as well. Loving my 1520 more and more!

I've noticed it's cooler too. Mine did heat up a bit when using waze but it wasn't cooking like my older phone. Being thinner and having more surface area should help with dissipation.

Battery life improvement is a given. The snapdragon 800 handles idle much better than the S4 AND the battery is almost twice as big.

I remember the first wp7 devices would be power Sippers overnight, but then I updated to tango, and the devices would not sip power the same way. Ever since then I have not seen devices that can do that, the ios is a power sipper too, the iPad is a great example.

So, this was the first night i had it at work and I usually use my phone a lot. texting, web, Facebook. Typically I'd get my 920 down to easily the teens percentage wise if I did not charge it. I only got the 1520 into the 40's.

uh what, my 1520 is doing awesome it would go for days if wasnt so glued to the gorgeos display! still lasts me through the day way better than my old titan. I unplugged it 12 hours ago and have been on it a lot and it still has 62% remaining, I even played a few levels of halo spartan assault on it!

I was already expecting a decent battery life given the size of the battery...but I wasn't expecting it to be this good. 6 hours of fairly solid usage and I'm still at 75%.

Do you think the Black OS has anything to do with it? I have the 1020 and the battery is okay but not as impressive as the 1520. It seems that all the other lumias has poor to average battery life too. Maybe it has got something to do with the Operating system?

I think it has to do more for the GDR3 update. I updated my HTC 8X and the battery sure improved lot

That's because the iPad does nothing when it is powered off, I believe.
