Hey since here in the USA att&t SCREWED US....IVE DECIDED I might as well take my $800 and get the European variant.

Any pro and cons to that? Seriously

Any hope working on Lte ...do I really need lte speeds? What am I losing here? Why should I wait?

At&t rep told be the 32gb would NOT HAVE EXPANDABLE MICRO SD SLOT. that crap isnt worth waiting for ifbits true

because Canada and Tmobile have no interestbin the NL1520 AND that just grinds my gears.

    Whos with me?

Well, LTE is nice to have, cause you get really great download speeds to load web content and videos, the downside is, it eats a lot of battery.Personally i have 4G disabled and can live very well with H or H+ as I anyway only watch videos on WiFi and the extra 1-2 seconds waiting time won't kill me ๐Ÿ˜. I actually live in Malaysia now but got my Lumia 820 in Switzerland where I'm from before moving. No complaints whatsoever, plus unlocked phones tend to get faster updates and have no add wear. That's my take on this โœŒ

LTE is definitely nice!! I do a lot of web surfing on the phone with some internet sharing for my Surface and LTE is awesome to have. All the apps and games I have come to about 6 or 7 GB so the 16 GB was plenty enough for me. I have a 64GB card on the way for music, photos and videos that take up the majority of space anyway. Also, since I'm on AT&T, it doesn't pay for me to get an international version and pay an additional $250 for only 16 GB of storage and QI wireless charging. Plus, I don't really care if the phone is unlocked. It's not like I leave the country every so often anyway. And if I have to leave the country, there are things like Skype, Viber and WiFi to get me through. So, for me, it was really worth it to buy the AT&T edition as "crippled" as it may seem to some.

It doesn't necessarily mean they have no interest in the 1520, AT&T could have guaranteed Nokia that they will buy X amount of 1520's if they make it an exclusive deal to AT&T for X amount of months.

i seriously perfer the extra 16gb over all. i had a Lumia 920 32gb. AND i ran out of space within a week. an upsetting experience. and i really dont want to wait 3 more months just so att can get it together. :( caught in a dilemma

I'd take LTE over an extra 16gb internal... considering I'm going to pick up a 64GB sdxc for $35....

And given the fact I've already seen how long it takes to charge the 1520 on a good wall charger w/an AC adapter, I don't even want to think about charging it on a slow wireless connection.

Will the global version at least have the bands necessary for T-Mobile's HSDPA?

From what I read in auctions and international retailers websites it seems like it will not work here in the US. Im still confused about this as well.

"International" one is RM-937. It does not have support for North American LTE bands currently in use and so won't get LTE on AT&T or T-Mobile.

It also does not have support for AWS UMTS, but that's not a big deal in most places these days since T-Mobile supports HSPA on 1900MHz almost universally now.

I was going to say not quite universally, but I suddenly see LTE at home (near Manchester, NH) which tells me my local cell has FINALLY been refarmed.

I just found this on eBay Nokia Lumia 1520 RM 937 White 32GB 20MP 6 0" Factory Unlocked Smartphone | eBay
I'm very tempted to pull the trigger seeing as Expansys-USA and Negri Electronics are gonna take forever to ship. What do you guys think, would it be safer to just wait for an online retailer instead of buying off of eBay?
