How to sync Microsoft contacts

When I go to settings>email+accounts>Microsoft account then under Content to sync there is only the option to check mark Email. I don't see any way to sync my contacts in my Microsoft account.

Shouldn't there be a box to check mark to sync Contacts?

When you setup a MS account it should automatically sync everything. Unlike other email accounts, the main MS account does not have any ability, aside from email, to turn off/on contacts or calendar items.

If your contacts or calendar haven't synced then there's something wrong with the settings.

It will sync automatically and in real time. You will be able to see the changes in web browsers outlook contacts.

I found the setting.

People>settings>filter my contact list

There was a check box labeled Hotmail that was not checked marked. Once I did then my contacts were there.
