That's exactly what am doing. I don't have any other problem with the handsets
Piece of advice: stop sending your phone in. This is a known issue, and swapping the phone out won't solve the problem. Wait for a software fix.

i have just discussed this matter with Customer care of Nokia. This is totally not a problem or bug gents. I ve just informed that this brightness issue comes from sunlight readability function. They said sensor reads enviroment and fixes screen brightness automatically.
so go to Options / Display / Sunlight readability , and turn it off. Then you will see everything works fine as well. Be informed
This phone does not need sunlight readability. At normal full brightness the screen is perfectly viewable in the full Florida sun. I found sunlight mode was too bright and washed out.

The washed out look? What is it then? This is not due to sunlight readibility
Yup waiting makes sense. But are we sure this is not a hardware issue ?
